1. Provider and scope
1.1 LanePrio (the website laneprio.com and related services such as an app, notifications and a Discord bot, where offered) is operated by Paul Kleinmann, Modern IT, Im Kappesacker 5, 56288 Bubach, Germany ("we").
1.2 These terms apply to all use, with or without an account. For account users, these terms apply if you agree to them when registering. Users' own conflicting terms do not apply.
1.3 How we handle data is described in the Privacy Policy.
2. Service
2.1 LanePrio offers statistics, profile views, match analyses, game preparation (briefing) and learning content for League of Legends, based on the official Riot Games API and our own analyses.
2.2 Without an account you can use, among other things, the statistics pages, profile views, the match report for your last game, the briefing for a saved Riot ID and basic lessons. A free account adds, among other things, history, weekly plan, progress tracking, notes and flashcards. The exact scope is set out in the relevant description on the website.
2.3 The basic service is free of charge. There is no entitlement to specific features; we may change or extend features if there is a valid reason (e.g. changes at Riot Games, a new legal situation, security, technical development). If we change a feature to your disadvantage, we will inform account users by email in advance; you can then end the contract at any time. If we discontinue a feature entirely, we will announce this with [4 WEEKS] notice; you can export your saved content beforehand. Paid services are only available under a separate agreement (§ 12).
3. Availability
3.1 We strive for uninterrupted operation but do not guarantee any particular availability. Maintenance, disruptions, patch days, limits and outages of the Riot Games API, and decisions by Riot Games may lead to restrictions or to individual features being discontinued.
3.2 Data only becomes available with a delay (e.g. new patches, new games, rank changes).
4. Note on Riot Games
4.1 LanePrio isn't endorsed by Riot Games and doesn't reflect the views or opinions of Riot Games or anyone officially involved in producing or managing Riot Games properties. Riot Games, and all associated properties are trademarks or registered trademarks of Riot Games, Inc.
4.2 LanePrio is not a Riot Games service and is not endorsed or sponsored by Riot Games. Your Riot account and the game are governed exclusively by Riot Games' terms. We have no influence on bans, ranks, game rules or Riot Games' data.
4.3 If Riot Games restricts or ends access to the API, we may discontinue the service in whole or in part. Where possible, we will announce this with [4 WEEKS] notice; you can export your saved content beforehand.
5. No guarantee for statistics and tips
5.1 Statistics, key figures, builds, tips, weekly plans and progress displays are calculated automatically from game data. They are based on samples, may contain errors and show correlations, not causes. We state the sample size and uncertainty where it makes sense.
5.2 Tips are suggestions for learning. We do not owe any particular rank, win or learning result.
5.3 AI-generated texts will be labelled once they exist and may be inaccurate.
6. Account
6.1 You may create an account if you are at least 16 years old. When registering, you confirm your age. If you are 18 or older, you confirm this; if you are 16 or 17, you also confirm that your parents or legal guardians agree to your use of the service. When registering, you also accept these Terms of Use. One account per person.
6.2 Your details must be accurate. Keep your login details secret and tell us about any misuse.
6.3 You may only link Riot accounts that belong to you. We check this via Riot sign-in (RSO) or by a profile icon change. Features that track your games (e.g. LP history, notification when a game starts, groups) are only available for accounts verified via Riot sign-in.
6.4 You can delete your account in the settings at any time. This ends the contract of use.
7. Prohibited use
In particular, the following is not permitted:
- automated extraction (scraping, crawlers, bots), mass requests or circumventing rate limits, bot protection or access restrictions, except via an interface we expressly provide;
- redistributing or commercially exploiting our data, statistics or content without our consent;
- harassing, threatening, exposing or stalking other players, for example systematically tracking other players in order to harass, threaten or expose them, addressing teammates in a demeaning way based on our data, or passing on profiles for this purpose;
- attempting to identify players with a hidden name or in streamer mode, or circumventing an opt-out;
- linking other people's Riot accounts or submitting opt-out requests for other people's Riot IDs;
- use that violates Riot Games' rules, e.g. for cheating, account sharing or boosting;
- attacks on our systems, introducing malicious code, reverse engineering beyond what is permitted by law;
- unlawful content in notes, group names or other input.
In the event of violations, we may limit access, remove content and suspend accounts temporarily or permanently. In doing so, we take into account your legitimate interests and the severity of the violation. Before suspending an account, we will inform you, give you the reason and give you the opportunity to respond; if this is not reasonable in advance because of a serious violation, we will do so without delay afterwards. You can report violations by others via info@modernit365.de.
8. Rights to content
8.1 The website, texts, lessons, designs, analyses and software belong to us or our licensors. Game content, names and images from League of Legends belong to Riot Games. You receive a simple, non-transferable right to personal, non-commercial use within the scope of these terms.
8.2 Your own content (e.g. notes, builds) remains yours. You grant us the rights necessary to store and display it for you. If you deliberately share content (e.g. share card, group), this also covers displaying it to the recipients.
9. Liability
9.1 We are liable without limitation for intent and gross negligence, for injury to life, body or health, under the German Product Liability Act and to the extent of any guarantee we have given.
9.2 In the case of a slightly negligent breach of an essential contractual obligation (an obligation whose fulfilment makes the proper performance of the contract possible in the first place and on whose fulfilment you may regularly rely), liability is limited to the foreseeable damage typical for this type of contract.
9.3 Otherwise, liability for slight negligence is excluded. Liability under mandatory statutory provisions, in particular under Art. 82 GDPR, remains unaffected.
9.4 For the accuracy of data we receive from Riot Games and for outages of the Riot Games API, we are only liable in accordance with the preceding paragraphs.
10. Changes to these terms
10.1 We may change these terms with effect for the future if there is an objective reason (e.g. new features, changes at Riot Games, new legal situation).
10.2 We will inform account users by email at least [4 WEEKS] before the changes take effect. Changes only take effect with your consent (e.g. by clicking at your next login). If you do not agree, the previous terms continue to apply to you; we may then terminate the contract of use with [4 WEEKS] notice. You can delete your account free of charge at any time.
11. Final provisions
11.1 German law applies, excluding the UN Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods. If you are a consumer habitually resident in another country, you keep the protection of the mandatory provisions of that country.
11.2 If users are merchants, legal entities under public law or special funds under public law, the place of jurisdiction is Bubach.
11.3 Note on consumer dispute resolution: see the Imprint.
11.4 If any provision is invalid, the remaining provisions remain valid; the statutory rules apply instead.
12. Paid services (subscription)
